My name is Francesca, but you can call me Fran! I'm a 36 year old Yorkshire lass born and raised. I'm married to my amazing husband Ryan, and we have two adorable cats that boss us around all day when we are at home! 😂

I created this blog to use as my digital journal, and as a place I can share my personal experiences as a brand new scuba diver! I plan to share my underwater adventures both here in the UK and abroad, as well as what I learn along the way.

Discovering the Passion

I've never been one to go in the water much, which I know is probably the complete opposite of most people you've met that scuba dive. However, that wasn't out of fear, but more out of insecurity. I'd always worry about how I look and what people would say. I guess that has decreased as I got older!

I'd thought about scuba diving numerous times, as my husband has been doing it for 4 years, but in my usual anxious fashion I always talked myself out of it.

It wasn't until recently that I became increasingly intrigued by what my husband and his friends were seeing and doing, so I told him I wanted to do it. He was ecstatic that I was finally joining him, as he'd been asking me about it for years. So mid-2024 is when I started my PADI Open Water course.
